SUPPLIES
1 boxed cake mix ( I used a strawberry Charm City brand) bake your own, if you're a baker :)
1 tub of icing ( I used strawberry)
2 packages of candy melts (Hobby Lobby). Also pictured Vanilla bark, which I didn't use. (I wanted all pink pops)
lollipop sticks
Sprinkles or decoration of your choice
treat bags
ribbon
styrofoam wedge
PREPARE YOUR BOXED CAKE MIX
Bake in a 9x13 pan
After your cake has baked and cooled use your hands and crumble the cake into small pieces making crumbs. Then take your frosting and mix a spoonful at a time. You want your crumbs to still look like crumbs with a moist appearance. It took me two nice sized spoonfuls. When you are done roll into balls and place in the freezer for 15 minutes to harden them up so you can work with them.
Melt your candy melts in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds.
Now you are ready to dip them. Take a lollipop stick and dip it into the candy melt only getting it on the tip, then poke the candy coated stick half way down one of your cooled frozen balls (PICTURES ARE BELOW). Let it harden for maybe 10 seconds and then place your ball into the bowl of melted candy melts to coat. Do NOT roll the ball around. Use a spoon if you have to, just make sure it is all covered. Easily remove it from the melted candy bowl and tap the stick a little to get excess coating off.
IMMEDIATELY apply your decoration of choice and then place into the styrofoam to dry. Repeat!
Coat the tip of the lollipop stick
Push it through halfway
Now coat each one in the melted candy
Let them dry in the styrofoam
Now put them in the treat bags and tie a ribbon!
I bought this cute little baby box at Michael's! I used styrofoam to raise them up and added tissue paper and the little frilly paper (from Walmart)
