Pretty hearts :)

Love is an emotion of strong affection and personal attachment.  Love is also a virtue representing all of human kindnesscompassion, and affection; and "the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another"

Slow Cooked Balsamic Pork Chops :)

Ingredients

1 pkg. frozen pork chops
2 cups ketchup
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
2 tablespoons of margarine
1/3 cup of water (more may be added)
1/3 cup of brown sugar
2 shakes of red crushed pepper
salt and pepper to taste

This is the first time I have ever had to actually write down the ingredients to this recipe.  I usually get a bowl and just start throwing items in!  The consistency of the sauce should be loose because it will thicken up as the chops cook.  All ingredients can be changed if you like more or less of it.

Directions
Add pork chops to slow cooker.
Mix remaining ingredients, except for butter, together using a whisk to stir.  After all ingredients are mixed add butter in clumps and pour mixture over chops.  Cover and cook for about 6 hours.  Stirring about every hour.  The last 30 minutes the cover should come off the slow cooker to allow sauce to finish thickening up.  Enjoy!

Side note….You can substitute chicken!

The sauce

This recipe is SO MUCH BETTER than the Slow Cooked Buffalo Chicken!  I think it is better because I love barbecue sauce much better than buffalo sauce.

Booyah 7-up Biscuits :)

2 1/2 cups Bisquick
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup 7-up
1/4 cup butter

Preheat oven to 450.
Cut sour cream into biscuit mix, add 7-Up. Makes a very soft dough.
Sprinkle additional biscuit mix on board or table and pat dough out.  Place cut biscuits in pan and bake and put a piece of butter on each biscuit bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

I must say that these are, hands down, the best biscuits I have ever made!

Fold the same end that you just folded again, up the rest of the way so the bottom fits neatly under the “collar.

Fold the same end that you just folded again, up the rest of the way so the bottom fits neatly under the “collar.” The collar holds this fold in place. You can get the best fit by tucking the end snugly under the collar and then sliding your finger to the bottom to form the crease.

    Make the sleeves.

    • Unfold both of the folds you just made.

Unfold both of the folds you just made. Then slightly unfold the two middle folds for the “sleeves.” Take one side at the bottom of the dollar where you just made the fold in step 5. Pinch out a corner shape (reverse the crease made in step 5 on the outer edge).
    • Fold the side back into place with the “sleeve” sticking out.

Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Skincare System :)

I wanted to share a wonderful product I started using mid December.  Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Skincare System.

This set is a rich and luxurious system consisting of a serum, clinically proven to visibly improve the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles, a protecting Day Cream with sunscreen SPF 15 and an intensively nourishing Night Cream. When used together they are even more effective at improving the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles and are ideal for all skin types. Hypo-allergenic and Dermatalogically tested.

I added the facial cleanser and the toner.

After testing for over 2 weeks I have noticed my face is healthier and more radiant!  Not as dry.  Another difference I have noticed since starting the Boots system is that I don't have the dreaded oily T-zone anymore.  That in my book is a plus!  Hope this helps!
Anyone else use this system?

Butter :)

A big plop of butter will keep your pot from boiling over!

If Heaven was on earth :) BooYah Brownies!

Ingredients
1 pkg. chocolate chip cookie mix (eggs, oil)
1 pkg. Oreos (I said OREOS people)
1 box brownie mix (eggs, oil, water)

Mix chocolate chip cookie mix together.  Spread evenly in the bottom of a 9x13 greased pan.  Then add Oreos on top.  Follow the instructions on the brownie box and then pour mixture over the top of the Oreos.  Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes or until the brownie mix is done in the middle.  (this can be challenging!!)  Let cool and then cut.  For me they were better when they cooled.  Enjoy~!!

YUM!

First Blog….AND Slow Cooked Buffalo Chicken :)

Ok, so this is my first blog.  EVER!  I don't know why I think I have something different to say than the other millions of people that are blogging right at this very moment.  I really don't but I am going to try!

I got this hair brain idea when I was putting the buffalo chicken in the slow cooker about an hour ago.  It looked so good I thought HEY I NEED A BLOG to document all these yummy recipes I am making!  Tonight is slow cooked Buffalo chicken…..

Ingredients
3lb. bag of frozen chicken
1 bottle of your favorite buffalo wing sauce
1 pkg. buttermilk ranch dip
1/2 stick of butter

Please read my side note at the bottom of the recipe.

Add chicken and butter
then pour buffalo sauce over the top

Add ranch dip

Cover and cook until tender :)

The finished product!
(please use better china then I did)

SIDE NOTE…I posted this recipe because there are people that like buffalo sauce.  I found that the sauce cooked down to much and didn't stay juicy like the balsamic chops sauce (my own recipe).  If I was going to make a dish with chicken, I would make the Slow Cooked Balsamic recipe with chicken :).
